SKCP's Clean & Green Team at Ludlow School
SKCP's Clean and Green team had the pleasure of planting a tree at Ludlow School this afternoon. Thank You to the Ludlow Staff and 2nd grade students for all of their excellent questions, assistance and care they plan to give the tree as it grows. We cannot wait to hear the outcome of the naming vote the students had for the tree.
OSK Tree Tenders Are Planting Trees This Saturday
OSK Tree Tenders will be planting a few more trees in the neighborhood THIS SATURDAY, rain or shine. If you are interested in helping, meet up at 1314 North 4th Street at 10 am. SKCP is looking to expand its Clean & Green Team
Work with South Kensington Community Partner’s Clean & Green team to maintain vacant land, improve commercial corridors, care for neighborhood trees, plants, and green infrastructure. We are looking for eastern north Philadelphia community members who are seeking employment, training, and support and want to help make our neighborhoods clean, healthy, and connected places to live and do business.
SKCP’s Clean and Green crew members may focus on one program or be asked to train and work across programs including Philadelphia Taking Care of Business (PHL-TCB), Philadelphia LandCare, Tree Care, Soak It Up Adoption (SIUA)/Green Stormwater Infrastructure maintenance. Crew members are highly encouraged to participate in environmental education and workplace safety training, and build knowledge and skills around green and sustainable practices and healthy, connected, neighborhoods.
SKCP’s work is growing. We are looking to fill part time to full time positions as well as seasonal to year-round work beginning at a rate of $15 per hour.
